Genevieve Belmaker is a contributing editor with The Epoch Times, an international, multi-lingual newspaper in print and online that is based in New York City. She also contributes to Quill, the magazine of the Society of Professional Journalists, and blogs on journalism, media and foreign affairs for the Foreign Policy Association. Her blog on journalism and the journalism industry is Information Breakdown.
Genevieve has traveled throughout the U.S., Asia, the Middle East and Central America for reporting assignments, including major investigative reports and in-depth features. She regularly reports on issues related to journalism, and the work of journalists globally.
She graduated from the University of Southern California in 2000 with a BA in International Relations. She has also studied journalism at New York University.
She has been an active member of several prominent national and international professional media organizations, including the Society of Professional Journalists, Investigative Reporters and Editors, the International Women’s Media Foundation, the New York Press Club, and the Newswomen’s Club of New York. She lives in Jerusalem, Israel with her husband and their son.
